2006 Mazda 6 stalls when I'm at a light or stop sign?
I have a 2006 Mazda 6, 134,511 miles on it, it's a 4 cl, 2.3L engine, automatic. Regular oil changes and up to date on maintenence, including tune up, belts and hoses, etc... no engine or warning lights are on. I try and warm up the car for at least 10 minutes every morning in the winter, but I've noticed on mornings where I've let it warm up less than 10 minutes, gets hesitant when at a stop light, stop sign, this morning it stalled twice, once at a stop light, and once at a light. Temps were in the 30s this morning. Once the car was warmed up, it didn't seem to do that anymore (tested it at a couple of stop lights and signs, and it stayed on). Just wanted to prepare myself if it's a major problem, but also heard that picking up some fuel injector cleaner might help. Any insight?
Thanks! had the feul filter changed 2 oil changes ago, but I can check that. also just had the thermostat replaced - check engine light came on in October, so had the tune up done and they replaced the thermostat, which was the problem. I will try the HEET though! I went on the drive thru line and was completely stopped and the car was idling fine....after about 10 minutes of highway driving. It was jsut weird b/c today was not the coldest day we have had, it was in the 30s. But I didn't warm up the car as long as I would have if it had been colder, I only warmed it up for maybe 5 minutes.
